Resin is an Acrylate and Glue is protein based and made of bones. Resin breaks down in water over a long period of time, glue breaks down after a very short time. Resin drys clear and glossy and glue will dry to a dull and cloudy finish. Glue is flaky in chemical structure, it has layers, like flakes, Resin is solid mass and has a linear molecule structure.
